Hi everyone! I've been wanting to start this for quite some while, and now that I actually have a little free time, I can make one! So, I'm almost finished with my junior year of college. Wow, I can't believe I will be graduating in a year. I go to Arizona State and have had the best three years a girl could have in college! I have found an amazing community, wonderful friends, and I love my major (Elementary Education). YoungLife has become a huge part of my life and God has taught me so much about who I am. I lead YL at a Corona high school. I basically hang out with high school girls, tell them about Jesus, and be there as a friend/mentor and walk through life with them! I love my girls and would do anything for them. I help keep them accountable, and without them knowing it, they do the same for me! We are real with each other and I love that. Although I am supposed to help their relationships with Christ grow, I feel like I am closer with Christ than ever before. He is doing amazing things in the girls' lives and I love watching them blossom.
My family in Mesa is doing great. Ryan has moved back home, so I am the only one out of the house now! Jack is in seventh grade and I think he plays more baseball than humanly possible. He is growing up and I don't like it. He was just in Kindergarten not that long ago! Mom and daddy are great. The best parents a girl could ask for. They have to put up with a lot from me, and yet always love me unconditionally.
I am really looking forward to this summer. My two best friends, Sam and Clare, and I are traveling to Italy for five weeks! In case you don't know this about me, I LOVE to travel. I went to Romania my sophmore year of high school, and ever since then I have had the travel bug. There are so many places I want to go and see God's creation. Unfortunately I have to start becoming an adult soon, within the next few years, so I figured I might as well get some more traveling in before I have to get a real job and pay real bills. Going to Italy will be my first trip that I will have to pay for most of it, with my own money! Scary, but I am so excited. Going to Italy for five weeks, with Sam and Clare, and not much of an agenda...sounds great to me! For part of the time we will be working at a YoungLife camp and the rest of the time we are going to travel. I'm looking forward to adventures, silly crazy moments, laughs, peaceful days, and seeing what God has in store for us!
